The researchers at Stiles Farm completed measurements for leaf area comparisons in the corn-on-corn and corn-on-cotton crop rotation plots. Interesting results: these measurements were taken just as tassle appeared in the top whorl of the plants, later at Silking. Avg of 3 plants in each set of observations.

Corn-on-cotton

No-Till — Strip-Till– Conventional
848 sq.in — 857 sq.in — 949 sq.in
1158 sq.in — 1160 sq.in — 1020 sq.in

Corn-on-Corn

No-Till — Strip-Till — Conventional
842 sq.in — 896 sq.in — 910 sq.in
1064 sq.in — 1113 sq.in — 984 sq.in
