Test plots in Nebraska, Indiana and Illinois

The 2011 corn crop is in on the Orthman Research Farm, and agronomist Mike Petersen is analyzing the data from this and other sites in Indiana and Illinois. The results do indeed show a yield increase with the strip tillage process.

Trials near Lexington, Nebraska showed increases from 186 to 197 bushels per acre and from 162 to 196 bushels per acre when compared to no till corn with the same hybrid.

And, in Illinois, strip till showed marked yield improvements in both 30″ single row AND twin row plots.
