Exploring the effects of strip-tillage

Agronomist/soil scientist Mike Petersen is on the Orthman Research Farm this week with his sidekick Jake, digging pits and doing root studies on 18 different corn hybrids in multiple locations. He’s evaluating nodes and root numbers, size, plant height, leaf stage and root depth.
